Ann Heneghan is the Principal and owner of Heneghan & Associates. Ann is a native of Partry in County Mayo and started her career in Mayo. As part of her training, Ann worked in the law offices of Connors & Sullivan in Brooklyn, NY.
After qualification in 1994 Ann worked as an Assistant Solicitor with Maguire and Brennan in Claremorris, County Mayo until 2004. After establishing the office in Galway in 2005, Ann returned to Claremorris and opened a sub-office which she attends every Wedneday from 10am – 5pm in order to facilitate her Mayo based clients.
Ann has had a keen interest in rugby throughout the years and was the Chairperson of the Connacht Rugby Supporters Club when the Province was under threat. Following a successful campaign the Province survived and continues to thrive, recently winning the coveted Pro 12 Trophy.
As a result of her involvment with rugby, Ann was invited to Chair the Disciplinary Committee with Connacht Rugby and has served in this position for the last 5 years. She was also appointed as a Judicial Officer with the IRFU and can adjudicate on cases involving the Pro 14, Champions Cup. Challenge Cup and World Rugby. Ann has just been appointed as Junior Vice President of Connacht Rugby for the 2018/19 season.
Ann had a primary degree in English and Politics before embarking on her legal studies and continues to add to her education and training on an ongoing basis.
